Tina Y. Ting

Tina Ting, MPH, is the current project coordinator for the Community Health Workers United to Reduce Colorectal Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease among people at Higher Risk (CHURCH) Trial. She graduated from Columbia's Mailman School of Public Health in May 2020, receiving her master of public health degree with a social determinants of health certificate from the Department of Sociomedical Sciences. As project coordinator, Tina assists with the implementation and management of the CHURCH Trial by:

  • Supporting the recruitment, training, and supervision of community health workers and research assistants
     
  • Overseeing data collection
     
  • Managing study progress

In her free time, Tina co-leads LEARNIT, a community-based, volunteer effort to bridge the digital divide in Northern Manhattan and increase access to virtual health services. Additionally, Tina serves on the board of Project PUSH (Pick-up Sports and Health), a program designed to increase diversity in healthcare professions by engaging and exposing youth in Washington Heights to different careers in healthcare. Tina is the proud parent of two energetic Pomeranians, Louie and Benni.
