Mary Delena Redd
Mary D. Redd, MSW, LCSW, ACSW, is a retired human services executive whose professional career included working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
With her mantra of “to whom much is given, much will be required,” Ms. Redd’s work experience was extensive in that it ranged from direct services to management of a Community-Based Organization that serves all five boroughs of New York City with a staff of 150.
She is very active in the Harlem community, serving on several boards. Ms. Redd has been described as an effective change agent par excellence. She is a member of the Convent Avenue Baptist Church, serving as the first female Chairperson of the Deacon Ministry. Ms. Redd has received many honors and awards for her untiring commitment and work in helping to enhance the quality of life for all people.
She is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in the North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter and the Links, Inc. in the Greater Hudson Valley (NY) Chapter. Ms. Redd’s favorite phrase is “To God Be the Glory.”
